Alarm monitoring services are usually a communication between the central security provider and the home. The control panel in the home security registers the event and sends immediately to the central system. In the central system, the authorities alert the responsible authorities from where security personals are sent to the home.
Alarm monitoring services provide all kind of facilities such as monitoring of fire, burglar, or residential alarm systems. They use numerous devices such as mobile and telephone lines, computers, different software, trained personals through which they monitor the several security systems of the customers. They have several different kinds of sensors, which include door or window sensors, tamper sensors on the telephone boxes, motion detectors, and smoke, flood, or temperature detectors. The primary signal is sent to the monitoring people at the central station from where they check whether the alarm is real or false alarm. Initially, they would inform the people in the house. If they fail to respond or tackle the situation properly, they would send trained personals for handling the situation.
Types of Monitoring System
There are numerous types of alarm and monitoring system available in the market. The system is usually chosen based on the particular need of the homeowner or any establishments and as per the circumstances. The common types of alarm monitoring services available are explained below.
Monitored Systems: It is the most common and widely available alarm monitoring system in the market. A system trigged alarm, which would in turn alert the designated security persons who would inform the local authorities. This service is available 24 hours a day. Though it seems that it would not have any negligence but in reality, the buglers are much smarter. The first and foremost thing that they do, especially if the house is empty, they cut the phone line connected with the alarm system. This would disable the entire setup. In addition, this process is time consuming since it takes a considerable amount of time for the personals to be present physically at the spot. In the meantime, the buglers would finish their job. This setup is also quite costly.
Unmonitored Systems: Here an extremely loud siren will play as soon as the alarm is triggered. In this situation, the buglers have to flee immediately since the neighbors would hear the noise and either come physically to the spot or contact the security personals immediately. Here, along with the siren flashlights can also be installed. This would make spotting of the robbers much easier process. This setup also does not cost much in comparison to the monitored systems. However, in this system it is better to maintain a cordial relation with the neighbors since they would play a primary role in alerting the authorities.
Wireless Alarm System: This wireless alarm system is much cheaper since they do not have any associated monitoring fees. They can be installed easily. Here, the homemaker can install motion detectors, cameras, sensors, and numerous other things according to the budget. However, in this setup it is difficult to determine the extent up to which these detectors would work properly. It is also important to make sure the batteries are always in proper working condition.
Electric Current Alarm System: This is commonly setup in the newly established homes rather than the old ones. These alarms are installed in such a way that if the doors and windows are opened without authorization it sends out a noise, which is loud enough to hear in all the floors. It can be setup in the entire building. However, it is important to pay heed to the wiring of the system.
